A 22-year-old man, identified as Neeraj Valmiki, tragically lost his life after allegedly falling from the roof of a house in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, late on Monday night. The incident occurred around 3 a.m., and while initial reports suggest an accidental fall, the victim’s family alleges foul play, adding a layer of complexity to the case.
Neeraj, a resident of the Aukhana Kilagate area, was reportedly consuming alcohol with his brother-in-law, Brijesh, until 1 a.m. According to Brijesh, Neeraj woke up in an intoxicated state to use the bathroom around 3 a.m. and accidentally fell from the first-floor roof. Brijesh and his wife, Sonali, immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, but Neeraj was declared dead on arrival.
The victim’s family is skeptical of the accidental fall narrative. Neeraj’s brother, Sukhveer Singh, has accused Brijesh and Sonali of being involved in his death. Sukhveer claims that Sonali left her home unannounced to visit Brijesh’s house, prompting Neeraj to follow her. He alleges that Neeraj was pushed from the roof following a dispute.
The police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. A forensic team visited the scene, and the deceased's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death. Authorities are examining all possible angles, including foul play, and may conduct a scene recreation to ascertain the sequence of events leading to Neeraj's death.
This tragic incident has left the community shaken, with many awaiting the results of the police inquiry to uncover the truth behind Neeraj Valmiki’s untimely demise.
