An eminent community leader has informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address Indian Americans from across the US on June 23 and will talk about the role of the Indian diaspora in the growth.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the US from June 21-24 after the invitation from US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. The US President and First Lady Jill Biden will host the state dinner on the arrival of PM Modi on June 22. The visit also includes a joint address of the Congress on June 22.
Taking it to Twitter Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thanked US for the invitation, he wrote, “Thank you @SpeakerMcCarthy, @LeaderMcConnell, @SenSchumer, and @RepJeffries for the gracious invitation. I am honored to accept and look forward to once again address a Joint Meeting of the Congress. We are proud of our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership with the US, built upon the foundation of shared democratic values, strong people-to-people ties, and an unwavering commitment to global peace and prosperity.”

Apart from this, PM Modi will also address an invitation-only gathering of diaspora leaders from across the country on the evening of June 23, Indian American community leader Dr Bharat Barai said.
The prime minister’s talk will take place in the famous Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Centre, which has already played host to several high-profile gatherings. The venue, which bears Ronald Reagan’s name, can accommodate 900 people for the occasion.
It is the first federal structure in Washington to be made for both public and private use. The only community event that will take place during the prime minister’s visit is currently under heavy preparation. He claimed that a national organising committee made up of 25 distinguished individuals has been formed.
He had stated that Modi would address 40,000 Indian Americans at a sizable stadium in Chicago.
Top US legislators emphasised that the people-to-people contact plays a vital part in their bilateral ties as they urged the Biden administration to address the visa wait time issue for Indian applicants on a priority basis.
Given the important relationship between the two nations and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit later this month, the senators questioned the senior state department officials in separate Congressional hearings about the efforts they have done to settle the matter.
