Muslims being beaten, stopped from casting vote in Uttarakhand by-polls

New Delhi: The bypolls to 13 Assembly constituencies across seven States of Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh are under way on July 10, 2024. Now, in between the bypolls election, a disturbing visuals have emerged from Libbarheri village, where Muslim voters are subjected to violence, including being beaten with sticks. Several people have reportedly sustainexd injuries.

In response to the incident, Congress candidate Qazi Nizamuddin has taken the injured individuals to the hospital for medical treatment. He has condemned the alleged acts of voter intimidation and violence.

The video was shared by Sachin Gupta on social media platform 'X.' Till now, the video has been viewed by 17.6K people and liked by more than thousand people. In the video, they can be seen saying that few people are preventing certain groups of voters, particularly Muslims, from casting their ballots in the by-election.
