Music teacher molests, shows adult videos to 10-year girl student in every class

Using electronic surveillance, Noida's Phase-3 police arrested the teacher near the Sector 59 metro station. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act. They are questioning the teacher, Anurag Samuel, and have seized his gadgets.

New Delhi:  In a shocking incident that emerged from UP's Noida, a music teacher was held for allegedly showing adult videos to a 10-year-old girl. The incident has sparked outrage over the fact that a teacher whose job it is to nurture and condition young students was involved in such a disgraceful act. Statistics show that the abusers are usually people we know, like neighbors, close friends, or teachers. According to Noida Central ACP Diksha Singh, the Phase-3 police registered a case and arrested the accused.

The affected family comes from Bihar and lives in a builder society located in Sector 121, Noida. The 10-year-old daughter studies in the sixth grade at a private school. The girl had an interest in music and dance. and her parents hired a music and dance teacher, Anurag Samuel, to teach her at home. The horrific crime occurred during dance classes, when the music teacher showed the girl adult videos on the computer and molested her. This continued for several days.

On Tuesday, the girl was watching an adult video alone on the computer when her mother saw it. Then the mother questioned her daughter with serious concerns about the same. The girl then revealed that the music teacher showed her such videos almost in every class. Afterward, the family reported the matter to the Phase-3 police station. 

Parents demanded strict action

The accused, Samuel Anurag, had been coming from Delhi to Noida for about a year to teach the girl music and dance. The parents paid him a monthly fee of Rs. 3000. The parents had found his behavior suspicious for the past few days but couldn't confirm anything. After the incident was revealed, the parents demanded that the police take strict action against the teacher.

A case was registered under POSCO Act

Police officers and child-related NGOs often warn parents to keep an eye on their children and ask them about school and the people they meet.
