Murder in Shastri Park: 28-yr-old cab driver fatally stabbed in Delhi

A 28-year-old cab driver met a tragic end as he was fatally stabbed in northeast Delhi's Shastri Park area, as confirmed by the police on May 31. The victim, identified as Johar Abbas, hails from Buland Masjid in the locality.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP-northeast), Joy Tirkey, disclosed that the authorities received information about a stabbing incident around 11:50 pm on Thursday, May 30. Upon receiving the report, a police team promptly rushed to the location.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement was confronted with an injured Johar Abbas. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Tragically, medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Hunt for the Culprits

Investigating officers discovered that the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds across various parts of his body, including the forehead, wrist, and chest. The severity of these injuries indicated a brutal attack.

Promptly following the incident, a search operation was launched to track down and apprehend the individuals responsible for the heinous crime. The DCP confirmed ongoing efforts to uncover the motive behind the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice.
