According to police sources, Khan is a highly educated individual who holds a BSc in Information Technology and resides in Thane, near Mumbai, with her family. Reports indicate that she has been grappling with mental health challenges, which may have influenced her actions. Her father operates a timber business.The threat came to light after the Mumbai Traffic Police control room received the alarming message through a WhatsApp helpline. The anonymous sender demanded Adityanaths resignation, citing the violent murder of Baba Siddique as a precedent.Context of rising threatsThis incident is part of a disturbing trend, as Mumbai has witnessed a spate of death threats against various individuals in recent weeks. Notably, actor Salman Khan has been a target of multiple threats, demanding ransom under the threat of violence.
