Mumbai police arrest two accused with body in suitcase on train

The incident came to light when the RPF and GRP officers were conducting their standard luggage inspection when they came across the suspicious suitcase.

In a shocking incident, Mumbai Police apprehended two individuals who were found transporting a body in a suitcase on a train. The arrest occurred during a routine luggage-checking operation by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP).

During the operation, officers discovered the gruesome contents of the suitcase. Further interrogation revealed that the murder occurred in the jurisdiction of Pydhonie Police Station. The suspects, identified as Jai Praveen Chavda and Shivjeet Surendra Singh, had allegedly committed the crime and were attempting to dispose of the body.

How did incident unfold?

The RPF and GRP officers were conducting their standard luggage inspection when they came across the suspicious suitcase. Upon opening it, they found the body inside, prompting immediate action. The authorities swiftly launched an investigation, tracing the crime back to Pydhonie.

As per sources the Pydhonie Police in its statement said, "Case registered and one of the accused arrested, the other escaped from the spot but after some time the second accused was arrested from Ulhasnagar."

Initially, one of the suspects managed to flee the scene. However, the diligent efforts of the police led to his capture in Ulhasnagar shortly after. Both suspects are now in custody, and further investigations are underway to uncover the details of the crime and the motive behind it.
