The Mumbai Crime Branch officials on Wednesday said that the individuals involved in the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai intended to just scare him and not murder him.

Mumbai Crime Branch's big revealation

An incident of firing came to light outside the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on April 14. Since then, the actor's security has been tightened. However, Anmol, younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has reportedly taken responsibility for the incident. Now the Mumbai Crime Branch, which is investigating the case, has made a big revelation on this.

Intention to just scare Salman Khan

Mumbai Crime Branch says, 'The accused had also recceed Salman Khan's farmhouse in Panvel. His intention was only to scare them and not to kill them. Statements of the family members of both the accused have been recorded in Bihar. 

Police action in this matter

On April 16, a senior police officer had said that two people had conducted recce around the actor's house three times before carrying out the incident. Both the accused have been identified as Vicky Gupta (24 years) and Sagar Pal (21 years), residents of Bihar. Both were absconding after the firing incident outside the actor's house in Galaxy Apartment in Bandra area on Sunday morning. 

Firing on Salman Khan's house

On April 14, the accused fired five rounds, one of which hit the wall and the other in the gallery of Salman Khan's house. During the investigation of the incident, a Facebook post claiming responsibility for the firing also came to light. According to the police, this post was allegedly uploaded by Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi

Since November 2022, Salman Khan's security level has been increased to Y-Plus due to threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Khan has also been authorized to carry a personal firearm and has acquired a new armoured vehicle for added security.
