Mukh Mantri Tirth Yatra Yojana: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has launched the Mukh mantri Teerth Yatra Yojana, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering harmony among diverse faiths. Introduced in 2024, the scheme empowers citizens aged 60 and above to visit religious sites of their choice, promoting inclusivity and equality across communities.

Pilgrimage with No Restrictions

The Chief Minister highlighted that the scheme aligns with the teachings of Guru Sahib, advocating peace, respect, and mutual brotherhood. What sets this initiative apart is its openness—devotees from any religion can choose pilgrimage sites without restrictions. Hindu devotees can visit revered locations like Mata Vaishno Devi and Varanasi, Muslims can journey to Ajmer Sharif, and Sikhs can explore holy sites such as Sri Hazur Sahib and Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Promoting Brotherhood and Unity

This initiative reflects Punjab’s legacy of love and unity, ensuring equal opportunities for all faiths to connect with their religious roots. Chief Minister Mann emphasized, “The scheme is an effort to bring our communities closer while respecting their diverse beliefs.” Its inclusive nature makes it a unique endeavor, encouraging devotees to explore spiritual journeys beyond their traditional boundaries.

Ambitious Pilgrim Goals

The Mann government aims to facilitate 50,000 pilgrims under this scheme, demonstrating its commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Remarkably, 33,893 individuals have already embarked on pilgrimages under the program, underscoring its widespread acceptance and success.
