MP News: A shocking incident has unfolded in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a newlywed bride has allegedly drugged her husband with spiked milk on their wedding night, making off with valuables worth approximately ₹12 lakh. The incident occurred on the night of December 14 in the village of Kulwara, located within the Naogaon police jurisdiction.

The Wedding Night Gone Wrong

Rajdeep, the groom, celebrated his marriage to Khushi Tiwari, a resident of Charkhari in Uttar Pradesh, on December 13 at a local temple. After a joyful wedding ceremony, Rajdeep brought his bride home, where the family enjoyed dinner together. Later that evening, as they prepared for their wedding night, Khushi allegedly mixed an intoxicating substance into the milk and offered it to Rajdeep. Shortly after consuming the drink, Rajdeep fell unconscious.

The Disappearance

Upon waking up the next morning, Rajdeep discovered that his bride had vanished along with jewelry, cash, and mobile phones totaling around ₹12 lakh. He was unaware of the theft until he regained consciousness and realized the shocking turn of events. Distressed and confused, he promptly reported the matter to the police.

In his statement, Rajdeep revealed that his marriage was arranged by Sukan Pathak and that he had met Khushi prior to the wedding during a customary viewing ritual in Charkhari. This ritual involved discussions between both families about the marriage arrangements.

A Possible Pattern of Criminal Activity

Police investigations suggest that this may not be an isolated incident. Authorities believe that Khushi might be part of a larger gang involved in similar crimes. The modus operandi displayed in this case indicates that she has likely executed such schemes before. Currently, law enforcement is actively searching for Khushi and any accomplices based on evidence gathered from this incident.

This alarming case raises significant questions about safety and trust in arranged marriages. As police continue their investigation into this brazen act of betrayal, it serves as a cautionary tale for families engaging in similar matrimonial arrangements. The community is left to grapple with the implications of such deceitful actions on traditional practices.
