MP News: A chilling murder case has emerged from Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a woman and her lover allegedly killed her mother-in-law after being caught in a compromising position. Lakshmi Singh, 24, and her boyfriend Sachin, both residents of the Jujhar Nagar police area, now face serious charges for their actions. The incident has left the family and local community in shock.

Unfolding of the Tragedy

According to police reports, Lakshmi allegedly called her boyfriend, who lives nearby, to her home when her husband was away for work. The two were reportedly seen in an intimate position by her mother-in-law, Sunil Singh, 45, who happened to walk in on them. Fearing exposure, Lakshmi and Sachin allegedly resorted to a brutal act to keep the affair hidden.

Mother-in-Law's Brutal Murder

In a panicked move, the couple reportedly struck Sunil Singh repeatedly with a brick until she succumbed to her injuries. They then transported her body and disposed of it in a nearby forest. Passersby discovered the body, leading to a swift police investigation.

Confession and Arrests

Lakshmi initially denied involvement, but during extended questioning, she admitted to the crime, detailing the years-long affair with her neighbor and the events leading up to the murder. The couple was arrested and presented in court, where they were ordered to be held in custody.

The victim’s son, Ankur Singh, expressed his devastation. “I left my mother with my wife, trusting her completely. I can’t believe she did this,” Ankur shared. He remains in disbelief over the betrayal and the loss of his mother at the hands of his wife and her lover.
