New Delhi: A shocking case has emerged from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where a woman has accused her engineer husband of marrying multiple women over the years. The woman, seeking help from law enforcement, revealed that her husband has married five times in as many years and is now attempting to flee the country. Despite filing a case against him, she claims no action has been taken so far. Following her complaint, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has ordered an investigation into the matter.Wifes disturbing allegationsThe complainant, identified as Mamta Jamra, approached the SP office on Thursday, emotionally recounting her ordeal to the DSP. In her statement, she explained that she married Rustam Singh Shekhar, the son of Ramesh Singh Shekhar, on May 23, 2018. Shortly after the wedding, she alleges that her husband and in-laws began harassing her for dowry. Mamta endured the abuse for years, hoping her husband would change. However, when the situation failed to improve, she took legal action in 2022. That case remains pending in court.Engineer husband accused of multiple marriagesIn her complaint, Mamta revealed that her husband, a software engineer, would frequently be absent from home, often citing work-related travel. Suspicious of his absences, she began investigating and uncovered that he was involved in multiple extramarital affairs. The most shocking revelation came when she learned that her husband had been marrying a new woman every year, allegedly to flaunt his high-profile lifestyle. According to Mamta, Rustams actions left her in disbelief.Familys alleged involvementMamta further accused her husbands family, including his sisters and brother-in-law, of supporting his fraudulent actions. She claims that in 2022, Rustam traveled to Bharatpur, Rajasthan, where he married a woman named Jyoti Goyal, marking his fifth marriage. Mamta, who describes herself as Rustams first wife, also stated that he works for a foreign company and has repeatedly evaded court appearances. Despite several warrants being issued against him, the police have yet to arrest him.DSP orders actionDesperate for justice, Mamta told the DSP that her husband was attempting to flee abroad and urged the authorities to confiscate his passport and other travel documents. DSP Kiran Ahirwar, after hearing her account, directed the police to take immediate action against the accused. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
