Crime News: In Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, a tragic case involving a pregnant minor’s suicide has taken a shocking turn, revealing crucial evidence that led to the bail of her accused boyfriend. Initially, the boyfriend, Amit Sahu, was arrested and charged with abetment of suicide following the young woman's death. However, a hidden detail found during her postmortem examination changed the direction of the case.

Shocking discovery during postmortem

After the minor's suicide on June 6, her body was sent for postmortem. During the examination, doctors discovered something written on the palm of her hand, which was tightly closed into a fist. When they opened her hand, the message revealed that her brother, not the boyfriend, was the cause of her distress. This revelation shocked everyone involved. Based on this crucial piece of evidence, the court granted bail to Amit Sahu.

High court's decision on bail

Amit Sahu’s bail plea was heard by the Gwalior bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The defense presented the suicide note found on the deceased’s palm, which stated that she was taking her life due to harassment from her brother. After reviewing this evidence, Justice Sunita Yadav granted bail to Amit Sahu, though the trial will continue.

Allegations leading to arrest

The deceased’s mother had filed a complaint against Amit, accusing him of pressuring her daughter into marriage on June 4. According to the mother, Amit threatened to harm the girl’s family, leading the minor to take her own life. Amit was arrested on June 10 and had been in jail since then.

Contradicting statements

Though the police initially denied the presence of the suicide note, they arrested Amit based on the family's pressure. The girl’s younger sister, who had been present at the time, also denied that Amit had threatened the deceased. However, the court overlooked the police’s findings and granted bail to the accused, taking the evidence found during the postmortem into account.
