Mother of 3 tied to tree, hair chopped, blackened face by husband | WATCH

New Delhi: In a shocking incident of brutality, a woman was subjected to a horrific assault in the Hathigawan police station area of Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the assailants beat the woman, tied her to a tree, forcibly shaved her head, smeared her face with soot, and placed a garland of slippers around her neck. The entire ordeal unfolded in front of her two sons and daughter, adding to the traumatizing nature of the incident.

Pratapgarh police action in this matter 

Under the leadership of Superintendent of Police PBH Dr. Anil Kumar, the Hathigwan Police Station has taken decisive action by apprehending a total of 17 individuals. Among them are 9 male and 8 female suspects implicated in a disturbing case involving the inhumane treatment of a woman allegedly at the hands of her own husband and family. The victim endured appalling mistreatment, including having her hair forcibly cut off and being restrained with ropes during the ordeal. Police investigations have yielded critical evidence, including the recovered rope used during the incident and two sarees linked to the crime scene. Dr. Anil Kumar's direction underscores the police department's commitment to swiftly address and investigate cases of violence and abuse, ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable for their actions. The arrests mark a significant step towards justice for the victim, while also highlighting the ongoing efforts to safeguard the rights and dignity of individuals within the community.
