The incident, which occurred in the Bindayaka area of Rajasthan, has left the community in shock and mourning.The victim, identified as Nikita Singh, was a student preparing for competitive examinations. According to the police, Nikitas family had confiscated her phone about two and a half months ago due to excessive usage. However, after assurances from Nikita to limit her screen time, the phone was returned to her just a few days before the tragic incident.Escalation of conflictOn the morning of the incident, Nikitas father, Brijesh, once again intervened and confiscated her phone after spotting her using it. He handed the phone to his wife, Seeta, for safekeeping before leaving for work around 8 AM. Throughout the day, tensions escalated between Nikita and her mother over the phone issue, eventually culminating in a heated argument.Tragic consequencesIn a fit of rage, Seeta struck her daughter on the head with a rod during the argument. The blow rendered Nikita unconscious, and she was rushed to SMS Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, despite efforts to save her, Nikita succumbed to her injuries, leaving her family and community in mourning.Legal action against accusedAfter Nikitas untimely demise, authorities have registered a case of murder against her mother.
