Konkan coast faces potential downpour deluge

The Konkan region, known for its beaches and lush greenery, finds itself at the potential receiving end of the heaviest showers. RMC Mumbai has issued a red alert for Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, indicating a high chance of exceptionally heavy rainfall. Furthermore, isolated pockets within Konkan may experience extremely heavy rainfall, prompting a yellow alert from the weather department. This heightened vigilance underscores the potential for flash floods and landslides in these areas.

While Konkan anticipates the brunt of the monsoon's fury, Mumbai and its neighboring districts – Thane, Palghar, Satara, and Kolhapur – are not exempt.
