Chiranjeevi's political journey

Chiranjeevi's political career has been notable. In 2012, he merged his party with the Congress and was nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Later that year, he served as the Union Minister of Tourism in Manmohan Singh’s cabinet. Despite his efforts in the 2014 Andhra Pradesh elections, where he campaigned vigorously, the Congress did not secure any seats. Post-2014, Chiranjeevi returned to his film career, with his Rajya Sabha term concluding in 2018. His brother Pawan Kalyan’s new role as Deputy Chief Minister almost 12 years later marks another chapter for the family.
