The Maha Kumbh, one of the most sacred Hindu gatherings, has once again become the center of attention with its unique and intriguing rituals. This grand event, reportedly occurring after 144 years, witnesses millions of devotees immersing themselves in the holy waters of Triveni Sangam. While some bring pictures of their deceased loved ones to seek blessings, others participate in unusual acts—one of which has now taken social media by storm.
In a recent viral video, a devotee was seen performing an unexpected ritual—dipping his mobile phone into the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam. The man claimed that his phone had committed sins and, therefore, required purification. Holding the device carefully in both hands, he submerged it in the river alongside countless worshippers performing their holy dip.
The video initially appeared to be a routine clip of pilgrims capturing their Maha Kumbh experience. However, as the footage progressed, viewers were left surprised when the man chose to bathe his phone instead of himself. The scene quickly garnered attention online, leaving netizens both entertained and bewildered.
The individual, identified as Kuwar Kaushal Sahu, uploaded the video on Instagram with a humorous caption, "Mobile bhi bahut paap ka hakdar hai" (Mobile is accountable for sins too). His unconventional act sparked a wave of reactions, with many commenting on the absurdity of the situation.
One user joked, "Mobile ko moksha mil jayega fir hamesha ke liye" (The phone will attain salvation forever), while another quipped, "Chrome browser ka paap dho diya" (He has cleansed the sins of Chrome browser). The post was flooded with laughter emojis and witty remarks.
The reel, uploaded on February 13, has already amassed 280,000 views, making it one of the most talked-about clips from the ongoing Maha Kumbh. As the event continues, it remains to be seen what other unusual and eye-catching moments will surface from this grand religious gathering.
