Unidentified assailants targeted foreign students at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, triggering a violent incident that involved vandalism, sloganeering, and stone-throwing at a university hostel.
The attack, which took place on Saturday night, has raised concerns about the safety of students within the premises of the public state university.
The injured students were promptly admitted to SVP Hospital in Ahmedabad for medical treatment. Following the incident, all entry gates leading to the university have been closed, and authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to apprehend the culprits responsible for the assault.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned the assault and raised questions about the response of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, both of whom hail from Gujarat. Owaisi expressed disappointment over the incident occurring in their home state, urging for swift and decisive action to address the rising sentiments of intolerance and anti-Muslim sentiments in the country.
