Mob attacks Hindu youth for dancing to Ram Mandir song at wedding

Bhima was dancing to a Ram Mandir song, 'Agar Chhua To Mandir ko, Teri Aukhat Dikha Denge,' played over a DJ system. The following morning, a group of five or six Muslim youths allegedly broke into Bhima's house and assaulted him. Bhima's family has expressed fear for their safety following the violent attack.

Crime News: In the village of Itga, located in Karnataka's Kalaburgi district, a Hindu youth named Bhima Sankar was brutally attacked by a group of Muslims. The incident occurred on July 1st during the wedding procession of Bhima's friend. Bhima was dancing to a Ram Mandir song, 'Agar Chhua To Mandir ko, Teri Aukhat Dikha Denge,' played over a DJ system. The following morning, a group of five or six Muslim youths allegedly broke into Bhima's house and assaulted him. Bhima's family has expressed fear for their safety following the violent attack.

Ongoing investigation 

A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by Bhima’s mother, and an investigation is underway. Police have been deployed in Itga village to maintain peace and prevent further violence. Reports indicate that some of the Muslim youths involved in the attack also sustained injuries.

Previous incidents of communal clashes

This incident is not isolated. Recently, a similar clash occurred in Kolar City near Arahalli Gate. During the 515th anniversary celebration of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda’s birth, music played by a DJ in front of a mosque led to a confrontation between Hindu and Muslim groups. Police intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.
