The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the last date to apply for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 until February 18, 2025 (6:00 PM). The initial deadline was February 11, 2025. This extension applies to both the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Exam.
Applicants get a chance to rectify errors in their application forms.In addition to extending the application deadline, the UPSC will also open a correction window from February 19 to February 25, 20251. This allows candidates to modify their application forms if they made any mistakes during the initial submission.
Technical difficulties may have prompted UPSC to extend the application window. The UPSC has not officially stated the reason for extending the application deadline. However, official sources suggest that some applicants experienced glitches while applying through the online portal. The extension provides these candidates with an opportunity to complete their applications without any technical difficulties.
