New Delhi: In a harrowing incident near the Kalkaji Temple in Delhi, five minors launched a vicious knife attack on two friends, leaving one in critical condition. The attackers reportedly attempted to gouge out the eye of one victim during the assault, which has raised serious concerns about safety in the area.
The clash erupted over a dispute regarding the flower-selling territory adjacent to the temple.

According to police reports, the altercation began when the victims, identified as Lucky Kumar, 26, and his friend Sumit, 19, were returning from shopping for clothes at Nehru Place. As they approached the Kalkaji Metro Station, they were confronted by a group of boys who blocked their path and initiated a violent confrontation.

Witness Accounts Reveal a Disturbing Scene

Sumit recounted that as they were ambushed, the assailants physically assaulted them and snatched Sumit's mobile phone. In a desperate attempt to defend themselves, both friends fought back, wielding knives against their attackers. However, the situation escalated quickly, with the minors retaliating with sharp weapons. The police later confirmed that both parties were familiar with each other, as they all worked in close proximity selling flowers near the temple.

The police were alerted by a staff member at the metro station who witnessed the incident unfold. Following this, they registered statements from the injured parties and launched an investigation into the matter.
