Bengaluru road rage: In a shocking road rage incident on Tuesday night, a Bengaluru family was left traumatised when two men on a motorcycle shattered the rear window of their car, injuring their five-year-old son. The incident unfolded when the attackers confronted the child's father, Anoop, demanding he roll down the car window. After he refused, they hurled a stone at the vehicle, smashing the rear window and causing shards of glass to injure the young boy, who started bleeding.

Child injured in backseat

The family, who were just two kilometers away from home, were taken aback by the sudden violence. Anoop recounted the incident with visible distress, sharing that his son, seated in the backseat, required three stitches for a head injury and was placed under 24-hour observation due to significant blood loss. As Anoop stepped out to confront the men, he was captured in a video crying out, "Mera bachcha tha udhar" ("My child was there").

Witness accounts and aftermath

Witnesses later observed shattered glass and bloodstains on the backseat, highlighting the severity of the assault. Anoop’s wife described the terrifying moments, saying, “The men attacked us without hesitation, despite it being a busy area. Our child is traumatised, and we had to spend hours in the hospital due to the ordeal.”

The family filed a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara police station, urging action against the unidentified men. The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the suspects and understand the exact cause of the incident.
