He held the Indian tricolour while other participants chanted slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.“They, who used to say that there wont be anyone left in Jammu and Kashmir to raise the tiranga, would have understood that every youth of Jammu and Kashmir loves the national flag as much as people from any other part of the country,” Manoj Sinha said, as quoted by the news agency PTI.The they in Sinhas comments referred to Mufti, who earlier gave a statement that there would be no one left to raise the tricolour if Jammu and Kashmirs special status given by Article 370 was revoked by the Central Government.The Har Ghar Tiranga rally also saw participation from school students in Srinagar as part of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign organised by the J&K Police.Meanwhile, the J&K administration has assured that there will be no restrictions or internet bans in the Kashmir Valley on Independence Day. “There will be no restrictions on August 15 across Kashmir valley and also internet service will be on. People show a lot of interest in the Mere Maati Mera Desh campaign, its a good sign,” Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri told the news agency ANI.
