The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2022 this time, too, women shine in the top ranks. The top four positions among the 933 individuals shortlisted by the commission for the upcoming class of IAS, IPS, and IFS officials were taken by female candidates. Despite going through difficult times personally, such as the tragic loss of her father four years ago, Garima stayed unwavering and dedicated to her goal. She expressed her gratitude for the chance to obtain a high rank in UPSC and her enormous pleasure in her exceptional accomplishment, particularly for someone from a small town like Buxar. Garima started her UPSC preparation during the pandemic lockdown in 2020, and she mostly used foundational books on UPSC and online resources.She noted that everyones study time is different, revealing that some days she concentrated for 2-3 hours and others, she studied for 8-10 hours. She advises aspiring UPSC candidates to create unique preparation plans and study in a relaxing setting, whether at home or elsewhere. Garima stresses that hard work, consistency, and discipline are vital components for success and that coaching sessions are no longer necessary in the modern world because there are so many internet resources available for solving questions and expanding ones knowledge. She advises young aspirants to be proud of themselves and stresses that its acceptable to fail. Uma received her degree from IIT Hyderabad, unlike the other top rank holders who attended Delhi University.Uma reflected on her journey and thanked her family, friends, and father for encouraging her to pursue a career in the civil service.
