Based on this information, a specialized team led by Inspector General of Police (STF) Sri Parthasarathi Mahanta and Additional SP Sri Kalyan Kumar Pathak swiftly mobilized to locate and apprehend the suspects.Apprehension at the borderThrough a well-coordinated operation, the Assam Police Special Task Force (STF) successfully apprehended Farooqi and Singh near the international border shortly after they crossed over from Bangladesh. Both individuals were reportedly wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for prior offenses.Who are Haris Farooqi, Anurag SinghHaris Farooqi, a resident of Dehradun, is identified as the leader of ISIS in India. His accomplice, Anurag Singh, hails from Panipat, Haryana, and converted to Islam before marrying a Bangladeshi national.
