New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced a new member to his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, Delhi, on Saturday. Sharing a heartfelt message on X, formerly known as Twitter, PM Modi quoted a scriptural reference, "Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada:" to signify the auspicious arrival.

"It is said in our scriptures - 'Gaavh Sarvasukh Pradaah'. A new member has auspiciously arrived at the Prime Minister's residence premises at Lok Kalyan Marg," PM Modi wrote in Hindi, announcing the birth of a calf at his residence.

The calf, born to a cow residing at the Prime Minister’s premises, has a unique light-shaped mark on its forehead. This distinct feature inspired the Prime Minister to name the newborn 'Deepjyoti,' meaning 'light flame.' Modi shared, "In the Prime Minister's residence, the beloved mother cow has given birth to a new calf, which has a symbol of light on its forehead. Hence, I have named it ‘Deepjyoti’."
