A horrific incident has surfaced from Uttar Pradesh, where a resident of Meerut has been raped after giving a cold drink laced with sedatives at a hotel in Shamli. The woman has alleged that she befriended the man on social media site Instagram. She informed the police that the accused and his partner had called her on the pretext of a job, after which she was molested by giving intoxicants in cold drinks. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case at Thana Bhavan police station.How did the whole episode happenThe victim informed police that she befriended a young man from Shamli on the social media platform Instagram. The woman alleges that the young man works with a bank and had offered to meet her by promising to get her a job, after which he sent his friend and called her to Dehradun first, but he was not available there, after which the friend informed that the young man is posted in a bank at Thana Bhavan, after which she moved there. The woman filed a complaint against the accused and his friend for mixing intoxicants in cold drinks taking her to a hotel in Thana Bhavan and gangraping her. Station in-charge inspector Satish Kumar said that a case has been registered based on the complaint of the victim woman and the investigation has been initiated.
