During the All India Office Bearers meeting of BSP on Sunday Mayawati made a significant move. The party leadership took away all organizational roles from Akash Anand. During the same time she assigned National Coordinator duties to her brother Anand Kumar. According to Mayawati's latest decision, Akash Anand will no longer hold any position in the party. A few days ago, Mayawati had expelled her old trusted confidant and relative, Ashok Siddharth, from the party. With Mayawati's latest decision, there is silence in Akash Anand's camp.
During her lifetime Mayawati declared she will not name a successor for being the party leader. Any misuse of her name which harms the party will result in instant expulsion according to her policy. Ashok Siddharth received attention when she addressed him as the father-in-law of Akash Anand during this meeting. During an interview she stated that Ashok Siddharth had received party expulsion.
Mayawati criticized Ashok Siddharth for splitting the party between two factions in Uttar Pradesh and throughout India which weaken the party beyond tolerance. Several indications of factional weakness between the father and son appeared at Ashok Siddharth's wedding event. Mayawati said Akash Anand got married to Ashok Siddharth's daughter after his father's party expulsion so people require information about how strongly the father controls his daughter and how much she affects Akash at this stage.
Ashok Siddharth destroyed the political career held by Akash The BSP chief acknowledged that these matters should receive immediate attention because all current developments appear negative. To support party movement Akash Anand received dismissal of all his duties for the party. Mr. Ashok Siddharth completely bears the responsibility for costing both the BSP and Akash Anand his political future. Anand Kumar has taken over all party responsibilities to manage the work as he always did.
India Office Bearers of the Bahujan Samaj Party convened for a meeting where state presidents represented Uttar Pradesh as well as Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Two nephews of Mayawati named Akash and Ishaan did not attend the party gathering. The gathering aimed at enhancing both party structures while broadening its direct connections with ordinary people across the territory.
