In a shocking incident from Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, police have arrested a Maulvi for allegedly raping five young girls at a madrasa. The investigation has revealed that the Maulvi exploited the girls by showing them pornographic videos under the pretext of teaching Urdu. He also used fear tactics, threatening them with the presence of jinn to prevent them from reporting the abuse.

Police Investigation Uncovers Disturbing Details

The accused, Shabbir Raza, was reportedly running an unregistered madrasa inside a mosque in Malshi village, Rudrapur Kotwali area. According to police officer Manjunath TC, the Maulvi manipulated the girls, aged between 5 and 8, by isolating them after their regular school hours and subjecting them to sexual abuse. The girls have confirmed these allegations in their statements to the police.

Fear Tactics to Silence Victims

The Maulvi allegedly instilled fear in the girls by claiming he had magical powers and could control jinn, threatening that the jinn would harm their families if they disclosed the abuse. The police began investigating the case after one of the victims confided in her mother, who then lodged a complaint on August 17.

The case has raised concerns about the safety of children in unregistered educational institutions, prompting calls for stricter regulations and monitoring.
