It is important to note that this is not the first incident that has come to light. Uttarakhand, a state in northern India, frequently experiences landslides due to its hilly terrain, heavy rainfall, and seismic activity. These landslides often result in significant damage to infrastructure, loss of life, and disruption of daily life.

Few days back also, a major landslide was witnessed in Pithoragarh’s Dharchule which blocked the Tawaghat Road. The landslide has caused significant disruption to the vehicular movement last week.

It is high time, when people should understand the development model and respect the nature and delicate ecosystem.
