Massive dust storm, rain lash parts of Delhi-NCR; 9 flights diverted

Parts of the national capital witnessed a dust storm, strong winds, and rainfall on Friday, leading to the diversion of nine flights from the Delhi airport late in the evening. The diverted flights were rerouted to Jaipur due to the adverse weather conditions. Late in the evening, a dusty storm came and it rained in some parts of Delhi. In view of the dust storm, the weather department advised people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.

Many flights canceled

In the midst of a sudden change in the weather, Indigo Airline has warned its passengers about the change in flights. In this way, the passenger should check the status of his flight before going to the airport, so as not to face any trouble. Due to bad weather, the nine flights landing at Delhi airport late on Friday evening was changed. An officer gave this information. The official said that some flights were sent to Jaipur airport. 

Possiblity of rain on Saturday, Sunday

The head of the Regional Meteorological Center and scientist Kuldeep Srivastava said, "Due to the new western disturbance being active, there will be light rain in the national capital late Friday night and there is a possibility of rain on Saturday and Sunday." According to the weather office , on Saturday it will rain with thunderstorms and the maximum and minimum temperatures will be between 39 and 29 degrees respectively.

Earlier, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius on Friday. This is normal for this year. According to the IMD, the relative humidity during the day was between 47 and 64 percent.
