New Delhi: A chilling incident has sent shockwaves through Bihar's East Champaran district, where a 19-year-old girl was brutally murdered by her alleged boyfriend. The crime occurred in the Mudhban police station area, and local reports suggest that the girl was hacked to death with an axe in a fit of rage.

The victim’s grandmother claims that her granddaughter was in a relationship with a young man named Chunnu, who lived nearby. The relationship had been a concern for the family, leading to a village panchayat intervention, supposedly resolving the issue. Despite the settlement, the grandmother alleges that Chunnu repeatedly threatened the girl with dire consequences if she refused to marry him.

Churu takes center stage

According to the family, the girl had recently distanced herself from Chunnu, which reportedly infuriated him. On the night of the murder, the victim went outside after serving dinner to her family and never returned. Her body was later discovered near her house, drenched in blood. The local police have launched an investigation based on the family’s allegations. The girl's body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while officers continue to question potential witnesses.
