New Delhi: Manish Tiwary, the country head of Amazon India, has resigned from his position, according to a spokesperson from the e-commerce giant. This departure marks a notable shift in the leadership team of one of India’s largest online marketplaces. Tiwary is set to pursue a new role at a different organization.

Transition and interim arrangements

The resignation of Tiwary leaves a key leadership role vacant at Amazon India. As of now, the company has not announced a successor. Reports suggest that Amazon is unlikely to appoint an immediate replacement. Instead, the existing management team will work closely with Amit Agarwal, the Senior Vice President for Emerging Markets at Amazon, during this transition period.

Tiwary’s contributions 

Manish Tiwary’s tenure at Amazon India spans eight years, having joined the company in 2016 after a notable career at Unilever. During his time at Amazon, Tiwary was instrumental in leading the consumer business segment, including overseeing seller services. He will remain with the company until October to facilitate a smooth transition and ensure continuity in leadership.
