An extensive search was conducted in the violence-affected area of Manipur by the Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF) and Churachandpur police in a joint operation, a defence spokesperson said on Thursday. The team recovered warlike stores and weapons during the joint combing operations.“Responding to a specific intelligence regarding the presence of a cache of arms and ammunition, a joint team of Assam Rifles, Border Security Force and Churachandpur Police in the general area of Gothal-Phoulijang in Churachandpur district on 12 Oct 2023 launched a search,” the official said, adding that it led to the recovery of the arms and ammunitions.Search Operations and Recovery of Arms & Ammunition:Search operations were conducted by joint security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Bishnupur, Kakching, Churachandpur and Thoubal districts.
