New Delhi: A 28-year-old woman from Jat Bahadurpur Pathri has come forward with a heart-wrenching story of deceit and manipulation. The woman, who has a young son, alleges she was trapped in a web of lies by a young man who promised marriage but ultimately refused to commit after she divorced her husband.

"Promises made, promises broken"

The victim, who wished to remain anonymous, narrated her ordeal to the CO office. According to her statement, she encountered the young man while visiting her husband's paralyzed aunt in Khanpur. What began as casual interaction allegedly escalated to the young man weaving a web of love and promises.

"He promised me marriage if I left my husband," the woman recounted.

Blinded by his supposed affection, the woman reportedly agreed. However, the alleged manipulation didn't stop there.

Love turned to threat

The woman claims the young man not only engaged in physical relations multiple times but also filmed them without her knowledge. This chilling detail adds another layer of fear and control to the alleged manipulation.

Despite fulfilling the alleged condition of divorce, the woman's hopes of a happily ever after were shattered. The young man, she alleges, reneged on his promise to marry and resorted to threats to silence her.

Justice yet to be found

Left with no other option, the woman approached her family, only to be allegedly ostracized. Undeterred, she bravely lodged a complaint with the police station, but her pleas were reportedly ignored.

Determined to find justice, she reached out to the CO office, seeking intervention and action against the alleged perpetrator.

Police investigation underway

The CO office has acknowledged the complaint. However, the SO of Khanpur police station claims the alleged incidents fall outside their jurisdiction. The investigation is reportedly ongoing, with further details expected to emerge.
