Crime News: In a harrowing tale of blackmail and sexual exploitation, a married woman from a village in the Alwar district of Rajasthan has accused her neighbor and his friend of gangraping her. The ordeal began two years ago when the victim's neighbor allegedly took an obscene photo of her while she was bathing. Using this photo as leverage, the neighbor began blackmailing her, forcing her into a cycle of sexual exploitation. The victim told the police that the neighbor threatened to make the photo viral, compelling her to submit to his advances.
The nightmare escalated on May 5, 2024. The victim recounted that around 11 PM, she stepped out of her house to use the bathroom. It was then that her neighbor attacked, gagging her mouth and dragging her into a dry drain where he raped her. The horror didn’t end there; his friend, who was also present, then assaulted and raped her. The woman alleges that this was part of an ongoing cycle of threats where the accused men constantly used the threat of making her photos public on Facebook.
The accusations do not stop at the physical assaults. According to the victim, the accused even drugged her husband by mixing intoxicants in his food. With her husband incapacitated, the men allegedly took her to Chaudhary Hotel near Bandikui Railway Station, where they raped her again, one after the other. The victim's FIR also mentions that they forced her to drink alcohol, further adding to her trauma.
Rajgarh DSP Manisha Meena confirmed that the victim lodged a complaint at Tahla police station. A medical examination of the victim is scheduled, and her statement will be recorded in court under Section 164. Authorities assure that the accused will be apprehended soon.
This case adds to the growing list of rape incidents in Alwar district, which has alarmingly become known for its high crime rate. Rajgarh, in particular, has seen a disturbing rise in such cases. Over the past three months alone, approximately a dozen rape cases have been reported, with several perpetrators still at large despite police efforts to make arrests.
