New Delhi: In a shocking incident from Bihars Madhepura, a married woman was beaten to death by her husband. The police have arrested the husband, who had married the woman in a love marriage. The tragedy unfolded after the husband discovered his wife was having an affair during his absence.The couple, Shankar Sharma and Suman had eloped and married four years ago. They settled in Kamalpur Ward 5, Ghailadh OP area of Madhepura. Shankar had left home to find work, leaving Suman behind. During his absence, she began an illicit relationship with a man from Chiknotwa village. A month ago, her family caught Suman and her lover red-handed.Violent confrontationTwo days ago, Shankar Sharma returned home and learned about his wifes affair. After that, he brutally beat Suman. The severe beating left Suman critically injured. She was first taken to Ghailadh Primary Health Center (PHC) for treatment. Due to her critical condition, she was referred to Madhepura Medical College Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.Police arrested accusedThe incident has left the villagers of Kamalpur in shock. Upon receiving news of the incident, OP President Awadhesh Prasad reached the hospital and sent the victims body for a postmortem examination. He confirmed that Shankar Sharma has been arrested and will face legal consequences for his actions.Smilar incident in AssamA woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly murdering her husband in the Burungam Katigorah constituency of Assam. Reports indicate that victim was continuously beating her husband, due to which he fell unconscious.
