New Delhi: A shocking case of revenge porn has come to light in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. A woman has accused her ex-fiancé of threatening to circulate obscene videos of her online.
The victim, who resides in Gorakhpur, alleges that she became engaged to Mohsin Ansari, a resident of New Delhi, on May 10, 2023. As their relationship deepened, they reportedly exchanged videos and photos.
The woman claims that Ansari, without her consent, made an obscene video of her during this period. Now, he is allegedly refusing to marry her and threatening to make the video public on social media platforms like Instagram if she doesn't comply with his demands.
The victim has bravely reported the incident to the Tiwaripur police station in Gorakhpur. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a case against Ansari under sections of the Information Technology Act (IT Act) pertaining to revenge porn and threats. Additionally, charges of criminal intimidation have been filed.
The Gorakhpur police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend Ansari.
