In a gruesome murder case from Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, a man and his accomplices were arrested after a male torso was discovered floating in a pond. The shocking motive behind the crime was revealed when the accused confessed to killing the victim over the suspicion of goat theft.

On September 2, residents of Hardauli Forest were horrified when they noticed a man’s torso and legs floating in a nearby pond. Alarmed by the disturbing sight, they immediately alerted the authorities. The police quickly arrived on the scene, recovering the severed body and registering a case. The victim was later identified as Arjun Kuchbandiya, a resident of Samanpur Aftangaj village in rural Sagar. Reports suggest that the body had been floating in the pond for nearly ten days before it was discovered.

The Investigation and Arrests

Following a search operation, police arrested Komal Gond, Jiyalal Kol, Golu Kol, and Munna Kol in connection with the murder. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to brutally beating and killing Arjun on the suspicion that he had stolen a goat from Gond’s farm. To avoid identification, they returned days later to dismember the body, severing the head, arms, and toes.

Concrete Evidence Through DNA

The police used DNA testing to confirm the identity of the victim and gather concrete evidence. A sample of Komal Gond’s DNA was found on the dismembered body, which further implicated him in the crime. The accused have been sent to jail pending further investigation.
