A gruesome crime has come to light in Uttarakhand's Haridwar district, where a man brutally killed a 32-year-old man by inserting a sugarcane into his private area. The accused allegedly did this after the victim spread false rumors in the village stating that he was impotent.
The local police have confirmed the arrest of the accused, 22-year-old Pramod, who has been imprisoned after confessing to the crime. The victim's body was handed over to his family following an autopsy. The accused ran to the Bandarjood forest in Haridwar after committing the brutal crime, leaving the police at a loss for how to catch him.
When captured, Pramod revealed to the police that the victim, Sheesh Kumar, was ten years his senior and had reportedly forced him into homosexual acts on several occasions. Notwithstanding his repeated rejections, Kumar kept bothering and insisting on sexual relations. When Pramod firmly rejected him, Kumar schemed against him and spread the rumor in the village that Pramod was impotent. This enmity ultimately resulted in the heinous murder.
Realizing the seriousness of the crime, Inspector Bhagwan Singh Mahar of the Buggawala Police Station constituted a special team to trace the suspect. Since Pramod had taken shelter in the thick Bandarjood jungles, his arrest was being held up. But following a thorough midnight search operation, law enforcement authorities apprehended him. The murder weapon, a sugarcane, was also seized from the scene of crime.
