New Delhi: Delhi Metro has turned into a place where fights, inappropriate scenes and couples kissing happen daily. Fights have also become common thing in the Delhi Metro, where arguments are frequent. These clashes, now termed 'Kalesh' on social media, have become synonymous with the Metro. Another incident has surfaced across social media platforms where a thief was beaten up after being caught on Sunday.
Video surfaces on the internet
The video was shared by X (formerly Twitter) handle @gharkekalesh, who gathers these videos from various sources and shares them on social media. He posted the video with a caption that reads, "Kalesh b/w Uncle ji and Thief ,thief caught stealing purse Inside Delhi Metro and got beaten at Kashmiri Gate Metro Station,Delhi." In the video, a man who appears to be in middle age is seen kicking and slapping the thief who attempted to steal a purse on a crowded train.

According to reports, the incident took place at Kashmiri Gate Metro Station. The thief was caught in the act of stealing a purse inside the train. In the video, the thief is seen pleading with the man and promising not to repeat his actions. However, the man ignores his pleas and slaps him in front of the passengers on the train. The thief can be heard saying, "Uncle ji, this won't happen again."
Afterward, the accused attempts to grasp the man's feet, apologizing for his actions and pleading for mercy for the last time. As the accused bends down to touch his feet, the man kicks him in the chest and proceeds to slap him repeatedly. A woman who was with the man recorded the incident, and she can be heard in the background saying, "His face should be shown so everyone knows he's a thief."
