New Delhi: A controversy erupted over the principal's position at a girls' high school in Uttar pradesh's Prayagraj. A video of the incident is now going viral on social media. People are reacting to this event and questioning the method of administrative change in schools. This incident took place at Bishop Johnson Girls High School, which is operated by the Diocese of Lucknow under the Church of North India.
On Tuesday, Morris Edgar Dan, along with his supporters, forcibly entered the principal's chamber and unilaterally installed a new principal. Subsequently, his supporters forcibly removed the current principal from her chair and declared her the former principal.
Following this incident, the former principal of the school filed a complaint at the Colonelganj police station against Bishop Morris Edgar Dan and others, accusing them of robbery, threats, and misconduct.
Previously, Parul Solomon, the daughter of former Bishop Peter Baldev, held the principal's position at this school. Parul stated that the school's management issue is still pending in court. The previous principal mentioned that she was sitting in her principal chambers on Tuesday morning when a bunch of people came out of nowhere and created a ruckus.
The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras. The people causing nuisance included Alan Dan, Morris Dan, Vinita Isubius, Sanjit Pal, Vishal Novel Singh, RK Singh, Arun Moses, Tanu Vyas, Abhishek Vyas, and some other unidentified people. A complaint has been filed lodged against all of them at the police station.
On the other hand, Bishop Morris Edgar Dan made several allegations against Parul. He said, "Former Bishop Peter Baldev wrongfully appointed his daughter Parul as the principal of this school, which is why I dismissed her. However, she was refusing to relinquish the position and was misusing school funds. Whenever I went to meet her at the school, she would hide. We have appointed Shirley Masih as the new principal in place of Parul."
