Similar incident in area

This incident is a grim reminder of another horrifying case that took place in the same area in March. In that case, two men were arrested for attempting to have unnatural sex with a 12-year-old boy, which tragically led to his death when he resisted. The boy's body was later discovered in a pond near Taloja, Navi Mumbai. The two accused, brothers working as masons, had kidnapped the boy from the Thakurpada area, but their heinous plan went awry when the child cried out for help.

On March 25th, a 12-year-old boy went out to play and never returned home. His family, overwhelmed with worry, searched everywhere before filing a missing person report at the Shil-Daighar police station. The police eventually discovered the boy's body in a pond, his hands and legs bound, a grim testament to the brutal end he met at the hands of his captors. The brothers were subsequently charged under the relevant sections of the IPC.
