After realizing that their daughter was missing, the distressed parents immediately notified the police and informed a group of local youths who had set up a nearby Ganesha Pandal. During their search, the girl was found near a cement godown and safely returned to her parents. Darshan, who was still in the area, was caught by the group, beaten, and then handed over to law enforcement.
According to sources, Darshan, a painter, had recently moved to the area with his mother and younger sister just two months ago. Struggling with significant financial debt, he allegedly devised the kidnapping plan to resolve his monetary troubles.
