Malikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, said on Saturday that the INDIA alliance would win more than 295 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The results will be made public on June 4. Kharge's prediction was made approximately one hour before the anticipated announcement of the general election exit poll results.
“INDIA bloc will win at least 295 seats. This is not based on our survey. This is what people have told us," Kharge said after the meeting of INDIA bloc leaders at his residence on Saturday.

INDIA गठबंधन की 295+ सीट आ रही है
यह सरकारी नहीं, बल्कि जनता का सर्वे है
सरकारी survey तो होते हैं - और उनके चंद media के दोस्त है hi-fi करके बताते है

Kharge added that leaders of the INDIA alliance had asked the Election Commission of India for an extension on Sunday so they could talk about what should be done for the vote counting. The conference, which was convened as the seventh and final round of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 was about to conclude, covered the next steps that would be taken following the announcement of the results on June 4.
The meeting was attended by Akhilesh Yadav, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and head of the Samajwadi Party, together with Ram Gopal Yadav, Sharad Pawar, the chief of the National Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Chief Minister of Jharkhand Champai Soren, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah, CPIM's Sitaram Yechury, and CPI's Dipankar Bhattacharya. In addition to Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, these additional Congress leaders are also present at the meeting.
Voting for 904 candidates—among them Prime Minister Narendra Modi—across 57 seats in seven states and one Union Territory in the penultimate round of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections is underway while this meeting is being held. The findings of the exit polls for the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 will be made public shortly after the last phase of voting is completed. The Congress made a U-turn by announcing that this evening's exit poll debates will now feature leaders of the INDIA bloc parties. The announcement came the day after Congress announced that its leaders would not take part in discussions on the June 4 Lok Sabha election exit polls.
In order to confront the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance collectively, the roughly 28 opposition parties that make up the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) met for the first time in June 2023. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi running for a record-breaking third term, the BJP-led NDA has set a goal of gaining 400 seats in this election.
