A shocking incident has surfaced from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur where a 23-year-old man was gang-raped after being made hostage in a hotel. According to the reports, the victim approached the police but instead of taking any action, they kept shifting him from one police station to another for jurisdiction issues.
Victim harassed at police station
The case has been highlighted by NCM India Council For Men Affairs, following which the police arrested 3 of the four accused.
Meanwhile, the NCM India Council has highlighted that the Indian Police is not sensitive enough to deal with cases of male sexual assault. It said that sexual assault laws in India are not gender neutral and they only accept a woman as a victim of sexual assault.
