Malayalam film actor Vinayakan was arrested on Saturday evening at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport after allegedly causing a disturbance while intoxicated, ANI reported. The incident occurred around 6 PM, according to Inspector K Balaraju of the RGI Airport police station.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) reported that Vinayakan, who had arrived from Kochi on an Indigo flight and was set to travel to Goa, behaved inappropriately with the airport gate staff. He was allegedly in a visibly intoxicated state. "The actor was under the influence of alcohol and created a significant disturbance. We have registered a case accordingly," stated Inspector Balaraju.

Following the incident, Vinayakan was handed over to the RGI Airport police, and a case was filed under the City Police Act. This is not the first time the actor has faced legal trouble. Last year, he was arrested for obstructing a police officer's duty and making verbal threats while intoxicated.

In a separate incident, Vinayakan was also summoned to the Ernakulam Town North police station over a domestic dispute with his wife. He was booked under sections 118(A) and 117(E) of the Kerala Police Act but was released on bail after a medical examination.

The actor has courted controversy for previous remarks, including disparaging comments about former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and statements on the MeToo movement. Despite these legal challenges, Vinayakan has continued to work in the film industry, receiving recognition for his performances, including a National Film Award for Best Actor. His recent projects include the blockbuster film 'Jailer' alongside Rajinikanth and other notable films like 'Kammatti Paadam' and 'Oruthee'.
