The incident occurred around 5:56 a.m., coinciding with a large crowd attempting to board the Bandra-Gorakhpur Express, which was scheduled to depart at 5:10 a.m.The sudden influx of passengers led to panic and a rush on the platform, ultimately resulting in a stampede that left many injured. As the trains early-morning departure time approached, the platform had already become crowded, exacerbating the situation. Among those reported stable are Shabbir Abdul Rehman (40), Parmeshwar Sukhdar Gupta (28), Ravindra Harihar Chuma (30), Ramsevak Ravindra Prasad Prajapati (29), Sanjay Tilakram Kangay (27), Divyanshu Yogendra Yadav (18), and Mohammad Shareef Shaikh (25). However, two individuals, Indrajith Sahani (19) and Noor Mohammad Shaikh (18), remain in critical condition and are under close medical observation.The incident highlights the pressing need for improved crowd management at busy railway stations to prevent such emergencies in the future.
