New Delhi: In a dramatic turn of events in Kolhapurs Jaysingpur area, a woman bravely thwarted an attack on her son by three men armed with a sword. The incident occurred at around 1:30 PM on Sunday and was captured on CCTV, which has since gone viral on social media.Daylight assaultThe CCTV footage shows the woman conversing with her son, Sunil Ramappa Lamani, who is sitting on a scooter. The tranquility of the moment is shattered when three men arrive on a motorcycle and park near the pair. One of the attackers approaches from behind, brandishing a sword and making a violent move towards Lamani. Lamani joins her in the effort, picking up stones from the pavement and hurling them to ensure the attackers are driven off. This quick thinking and bravery helped prevent what could have been a fatal assault.Police investigation underwayFollowing the attack, Lamani filed a complaint with the local police. Based on his report, a case has been registered against the three suspects: Vinod Kasu Pawar, Arvind Kasu Pawar, and Vinod Babu Jadhav. Authorities are currently reviewing the CCTV footage and conducting a search for the accused individuals.
